Beginning in September of 2014, a mutitude of meetings were held to determine whether the plans would be approved and for what uses the park would serve. We were present at each of these meetings to speak about our experiences and our goal to provide a reflection garden for families who have lost children. We were heard. As it stands now, the park will feature three reflection gardens among its miles of walking trails, bike trails, sledding runs, playgrounds and challenge courses. Hobby Hill Park was established in 1935 by Dr. Claude and Aileen Owens. However, much of the 31.9 acres remains unimproved today. The rendering to the right is what is planned to update and improve the park.
